Meet the Team
Dalton Thorvilson
Dalton Thorvilson realized at a young age that storytelling was the only path that allowed him to explore a wide array of human experiences.
Dalton launched into commercial directing while continuing in the narrative horror genre with the 2024 short film She’s on the Ceiling. He’s thrilled to announce Ether as his debut feature, as it is in many ways the culmination of his journey: deep human connection, amazing visual effects, and the existential dread of a ticking clock.
DIRECTOR
Khira Layne
Khira Layne fell in love with writing and producing while working on films such as Dune: Part Two and Joker: Folie à Deux. She started her production company Hourback Pictures in 2024.
In addition to producing feature films under the company’s philosophy of “indie stories, infinite depth,” the company is contracted with the Marketing team at Warner Bros. Pictures to project manage VFX for trailers, most recently Animal Friends, Conjuring: Last Rites, and Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow.
